BRIDGE OF FAITH

For me, the world is enriched by images of faith. In my Garden of Promise Collection, I look deep into myself for momemts of revelation, of joyous acceptance, that comprise our common spiritual experience. Then I look out into the world to find visual images that reflect the truths of my walk with God. Bridge of Faith speaks to those moments of tribulation, when we reach the end of our rope and know that our personal resources won't see us through the crises. At such times, I rely on my faith, and find that God truly is my shield and salvation.

The Bridge of Faith is old and worn, but it is built of stone and it rests on a massive unshakable rock. It crosses a stream fragrant with flowers; on our side the world is shrouded in shadow, but in the distance there shines a heavenly light. — Thomas Kinkade

HYDE STREET AND THE BAY,
SAN FRANCISCO

How well I remember riding the Powell Street cable car on my first visit to San Francisco, and glimpsing the magnificent panorama of the bay. I remember the famous Ghirardelli sign, the vibrant activity on Fisherman's Wharf, the dramatic presence of distant Alcatraz Island. But most of all, I remember the magnificent bay.

My Hyde Street and the Bay, San Francisco heightens the nostalgia by placing vintage cars on the street and historic ships at anchor in the bay. — Thomas Kinkade

THE WATERTOWER, CHICAGO

During the winter months, you can feel the cold wind come rushing down Michigan Avenue from the lake in Chicago. Yet the tourists never seem to mind, fascinated by the Chicago Water Tower. Back during the Chicago fire when everything burned to the ground, the Water Tower alone survived, inspiring citizens to rebuild their town bigger and better than ever. — Thomas Kinkade

A QUIET EVENING

The heart has its special places: quiet retreats, fragrant with the sweet perfume of flowers, bathed in the romantic light of sunset, soothed by the music of a laughing brook and droning bees. Places made possible by the precious gift of love. — Thomas Kinkade

THE FOREST CHAPEL
When I walk an unfamiliar path, curiosity drives me on. The Forest Chapel portrays a daydream I've had many times: often while hiking some wooded trail, I've come upon a spectacular flowering meadow and thought, "What a wonderful place to worship God." — Thomas Kinkade

OPEN GATE, SUSSEX

Open gates are an invitation to visit, especially when lights glow warmly within an English cottage. If you're in the mood to chat, you might wander up the rutted lane and knock briskly on the old, weather-worn door of this charming cottage, Open Gate, Sussex. — Thomas Kinkade
